The organization was established in 2008. Motheo wa Katlego Community Development and other Projects saw the need to establish Motheo wa Katlego Community Development and other Projects drop-in centre. The organization was founded by five members.
Our offices are currently in 205 Mvumba stand in Winterveldt, North of Tshwane district of Gauteng province. The organization is registered with the Department Social Development as an NPO. Our NPO is 070-874. MWKCDOP has a management committee and board of directors from community and outside.
Motheo wa Katlego Community Development and other Projects saw the need to establish Motheo wa Katlego Community Development and other Projects drop-in centre with the aim to support orphan vulnerable children, abused children and women, child-headed families, HIV/AIDS infected and affected, destitute families and disabled
Most of the people are unemployed and illiterate and most households survive on a budget of children grants-R240.00 or pension grants. More care givers/volunteers need to be trained for the sustainability of all government initiatives.
